However, Metro must also hold up it's end and be fiscally responsible as well. It doesn't matter if Metro received an endless supply of cash each year. Mismanagement of funds will cripple any agency.<BR/><BR/>Eight car trains may appear to solve the crowding problems, but are they indeed the finite answer to increased ridership? My logic is that more cars will equal more maintenance and in turn, more expenditures for repairs.<BR/><BR/>I would propose eliminating rush or "peak" hours and just have trains run more frequently. true, this may indeed incur slightly higher costs, more cars, in my view, would definitely be more costly.<BR/><BR/>I also think Metro needs to clean house and get rid of the dead weight at the top and work downward. When I read about what many employees are being paid, I couldn't believe it.
